Three Freedom Fests and the Faces I Already Knew
I've been to three Freedom Fests in person. Phoenix twice, and Charlotte once.
If you asked me what I remember most, it wouldn't be a slide or a speech.
It would be the people.
Meeting the people I saw every day
Every day, I saw the same faces on the T & C mastermind. Same names, same voices, same people showing up to learn and work on their businesses.
Then I got to Freedom Fest, and there they were. In person. In the same room.
I loved that. I really did.
The stories, the meals, the talking
Some of my favorite moments happened away from the stage.
Hearing everyone's stories. Sharing a meal with people. Just talking and sharing.
There's something about sitting down to eat with someone that turns a face on a screen into a friend. (In my humble opinion, that alone is worth the trip.)
The day we packed food at Feed My Starving Children
Then came the time we went to Feed My Starving Children to pack food for the ministry.
That blessed me so much.
We came to Freedom Fest to grow our businesses. But while we were packing those meals, it wasn't about business at all. It was about people we'll never meet getting something to eat.
When I couldn't be there in person
Not every year worked out for me to be there. For the times I wasn't there in person, I joined the streaming meetings.
Those were great too. You still hear the stories, and you still feel like part of the family.
What it all comes down to
Freedom Fest is a business event. But what it has meant to me is simpler than that.
Faces I see every day, finally across the table. Stories that stick with me. A good meal. A good conversation. And one day packing food that I won't forget.
If you work from home, it's easy to feel like you're doing this alone, my friend. You don't have to.
Well, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. 🙂
P.S. If you'd like more stories like this, plus the tools and tips I share, join my list here. I'd love to stay in touch.
